LISLE, IL — A motorcyclist was killed in a fatal crash in Lisle Tuesday afternoon.

Police were called to the intersection of Yackley and Burlington Avenues around 1:45 p.m for a report of a crash. When they got to the scene, officers say they saw an SUV up on a curb and found a male motorcycle driver unresponsive.

First responders gave medical assistance to both drivers, a news release said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police the motorcycle was heading south on Yackley "at a high rate of speed" when the SUV made a left turn in front of the motorcycle, a news release said. His identity is being withheld, pending notification of next of kin.
