Natural Gas May Have Caused Explosion That Destroyed Home In Lisle
Fire officials say no one was hurt in the blast, which scattered debris throughout the neighborhood.
LISLE, IL — Officials say natural gas may be to blame for an explosion that destroyed a home in Lisle Saturday.
Firefighters were called to the area near 4500 block of Ivanhoe just before 6:15 p.m. for a report of an explosion. First responders identified a large home that had been involved in the explosion. They reported that debris had been scattered throughout the neighborhood.
The home's residents were not present when the explosion took place and no one was hurt in the blast or its aftermath, according to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District.

The site of the explosion remains under 24-hour security, officials said. The investigation into the exact cause of the incident is ongoing.
In a news release, Lisle-Woodridge Fire District Chief Keith Krestan wrote,
