New Police Chief Appointed In Lisle After Lengthy Search
Michael A. Rodriguez was appointed as the new police chief of Lisle on Monday.

LISLE, IL — The Village of Lisle has appointed Michael A. Rodriguez as its next police chief.
The appointment got unanimous confirmation from the village board of trustees on Monday.
Prior to his role as Lisle police chief, Rodriguez served as deputy chief of operations with the Buffalo Grove Police Department (BGPD). His nearly 30 years of experience in law enforcement began at BGPD, where he started out as a patrol officer.

Rodriguez took on a number of roles during his time with BGPD, according to a news release. These included working as an undercover narcotics agent, a criminal investigator and Sergeant and Lieutenant of BGPD.
Rodriguez studied at Northwestern University’s School of Police Staff and Command, along with the FBI National Academy. His master's degree is in law enforcement and justice administration.

Rodriguez is the first to take the helm permanently since former Police Chief Kevin Licko resigned in May 2024.
