Victim Found After Lisle Kitchen Fire, Arson Task Force Called: Cops
Multiple residents reported smoke coming from a unit in the 4700 block of Yender Avenue on Friday.
LISLE, IL — Firefighters found one victim after receiving multiple calls from residents reporting smoke coming from a unit at a complex in the 4700 block of Yender Avenue, officials said.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene just before 12:30 p.m. Friday for a fire alarm, and several residents also called to report smoke coming from Unit 6 at the complex.
The first unit on the scene reported smoke coming from the unit and deployed a hose-line to the front door. Firefighters entered and discovered a fire in the kitchen.

During a search, one victim was found near the kitchen, according to officials, who did not say what the person's condition was. Patch has reached out to the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District for more information.
Crews ventilated the building and conducted salvage and overhaul. Nicor and ComEd were called to the scene to secure utilities in the building, officials said.

The DuPage Arson Task Force and the Illinois State Fire Marshal were also called in to assist with the investigation into the cause and original of the fire.
The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District said it will release additional information when it is available.
