Amazon Opening Palatine Distribution Center: Report

PALATINE, IL — A warehouse and distribution facility currently under construction in Palatine will soon be an Amazon delivery spot, according to the Daily Herald. Conor Commercial Real Estate, based in Rosemont, is developing the 162,000-square-foot Amazon facility just off Hicks Road south of Northwest Highway, the news report said.

While Palatine officials don't know how many employees will work at the new facility, Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz told the paper that Hicks Road is "built to be able to handle the additional traffic."

The developer expects the building at 315 S. Hicks Road to be finished as early as October.
