Township leaders say voters clearly backed the initiative, which will expand funding for mental health, disability, and substance use services that many local residents rely on.

• Aldermen Urge Compromise As Church's Gym Project Moves Forward (journal-topics.com) — Part of St. Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church that still lies in Palatine has now been annexed into Rolling Meadows, unifying the property as the city considers a major gym, daycare, and retreat center project. Nearby residents raised concerns about flooding, traffic, tree protection, and overnight lodging, while church leaders highlighted safety, youth programming, and extensive traffic and stormwater studies ahead of a key January vote.
