PALATINE, IL — Palatine Township Elementary District 15 board members agreed Wednesday night to seek a 120-day extension in the decision process regarding a proposal to open a 21st school in the vacant Park Place shopping center, according to the Daily Herald. For the last year, District 15 board members have been considering a revised plan for a school in the vacant space sitting southeast of Dundee and Rand roads, the news report said, adding that the original proposal was presented in November 2018. District 15 officials said Stuckey Construction Co. of Waukegan would buy and renovate the space, and District 15 would lease the building while having the option to buy it within seven years.
