Mary E. Applegate, 90, of Palatine has been working with ceramics for more than 45 years and is one of the Studio V artists.
In her earlier years, nature was a strong inspiration and influence on her work. She began creating garden art and sculptures and evolved her work to include sturdy and practical ceramic pieces, including outdoor ceramic bell and wind chimes, teapots and birdbaths. Â Â
In the pictures included, you see a vase and ceramic mask created by Mary.Â
