Judge Sets $1M Bail for Palatine Man Accused in Rolling Meadows Gang Shooting
Witnesses say the man flashed a gang sign before firing a gun in a recent Rolling Meadows shooting.

A judge has ordered that a Palatine man be held on $1 million bail after an alleged gang-related shooting in Rolling Meadows.
Christian Ruiz, 20, of the 1900 block of Cambridge Court in Palatine, appeared in court on Sunday, according to a Chicago Tribune report. Police say he's responsible for an earlier shooting in the 2300 block of Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows where a man was shot in the thigh.
"Prosecutors alleged Ruiz was driving around with friends looking for members of the Latin Kings street gang to beat up," the Tribune story said.
