Man, 53, Found Dead In Retention Pond Near Apartment: Police

PALATINE, IL — Officers found the body of a 53-year-old man in a retention pond near his apartment Sunday evening, Palatine police said.

Authorities said they were notified about the body around 6:30 p.m. when a passerby called 911. The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified the man as David James Leisky, whose apartment in the 500 block of North Quentin Road was near the retention pond.

Palatine police told Patch an autopsy scheduled for Monday afternoon will likely yield more information for their investigation.
