Nominate A Business For A Disability Employment Awareness Award
The Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities has announced its 12th Annual Disability Employment Awareness Award.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL—The Arlington Heights Commission for Citizens with Disabilities announced Thursday its 12th Annual Disability Employment Awareness Award.
According to commission, it wants to honor an Arlington Heights employer, known for proactively hiring and employing workers with disabilities in recognition of Congress’ designation of October as National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM).
This year marks the 75th anniversary of NDEAM, which is being recognized with the theme “Increasing Awareness and Opportunity” The commission is seeking nominations from the community at large and self-nominations are encouraged.

Mayor Thomas Hayes will present the award to the "Employer of the Year" at and upcoming village board meeting. The nomination deadline is Friday, Aug. 28, 2020.
Nominations can be completed online at https://bit.ly/3ihSr4d or you can obtain a form from the Village’s Health and Human Services Department, located at 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
