Palatine High School Teacher Rescinds Retirement Letter

Board of education members were expected to act on the Palatine teacher's letter during the board meeting via Zoom, Daily Herald reported.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine High School teacher who recently submitted a letter of resignation after the school district launched an investigation into her Facebook post about Black Lives Matter protests rescinded the letter Thursday, hours ahead of the Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 board meeting, the Daily Herald reported. According to the news report, board of education members were expected to act on the teacher's letter during the board meeting via Zoom. However, the teacher being investigated wasn't included in retirement requests approved by board members Thursday because the letter had been rescinded, leaving what a district official told the Daily Herald was "nothing to act on."
