Palatine Teacher To Retire After Black Lives Matter Facebook Post
The Palatine teacher's retirement would end an investigation into a since-deleted Facebook post about Black Lives Matter protests.

PALATINE, IL — A Palatine High School teacher has submitted a retirement letter to Palatine-Schaumburg High School District 211 after the district launched an investigation into an apparent Facebook post about Black Lives Matter protests written in the days following the death of George Floyd, according to the Daily Herald. The news report said the teacher's retirement submission still needs to be formally accepted by the district board of education's Thursday meeting. The teacher's retirement would then end the investigation into the since-deleted Facebook post, the news source added.
