Public Hearing For Community Development Block Grant Amendment

The amendments will discussed at a public village council hearing scheduled for this upcoming date, according to the Village of Palatine.

PALATINE, IL — The Village of Palatine announced in a news release Monday they've received more funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the Community Development Block Grant Program (CDBG) due to the coronavirus pandemic, referred to CDBG-CV Funding. According to the news release, the Village must approve a Citizen Participation Plan Amendment to add certain public participation processes and waivers approved by the HUD, to use these funds as soon as possible.

The Village must approve a 2019 Annual Action Plan Substantial Amendment to explain how it will use the CDBG-CV funds, according to the news release.

The amendments will discussed at a public village council hearing scheduled for 7 p.m., June 22 in the Village Council Chambers, located at 200 E. Wood Street in Palatine.
