Free Kane County Vaccine Clinic For MMR: Health Department
Here's when and where the free vaccination clinic for MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella) will take place.
KANE COUNTY, IL — The Kane County Health Department announced this week that a free vaccination clinic for MMR – Measles, Mumps and Rubella – will take place from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, July 18 at the Kane County Health Department, 1240 N. Highland Avenue in Aurora. According to the Kane County Health Department, no appointment is necessary to be vaccinated.
The Kane County Health Department said the following people should get an MMR vaccine:
- All children should get two doses of MMR vaccine, starting with the first dose at 12 through 15 months of age, and the second dose at 4 through 6 years of age. Children can receive the second dose earlier as long as it is at least 28 days after the first dose, according to the health department.
- Students at post-high school educational institutions who do not have evidence of immunity need two doses of MMR vaccine, separated by at least 28 days.
- Adults who do not have evidence of immunity should get at least one dose of MMR vaccine.

The health department said funding for the vaccines comes from a grant from the Illinois Department of Public Health.
