St. Charles Fire Department Plans Open House For Sept. 28

ST. CHARLES, IL — An open house at the St. Charles Fire Department is scheduled for later this month.
The open house will run from noon to 3 p.m. on Sept. 28 at fire station number 1, 112 N. Riverside Avenue in St. Charles, according to a news release.
During the open house, those stopping out can meet firefighters and paramedics, and the fire department will share information regarding fire safety. The free and family friendly event will feature special rescue and fire safety demonstrations, including a live burn that will highlight how effective residential sprinklers can be in combatting house fires.

Activities for children and refreshments also will be available, along with community vendor booths, and informational displays on programs and general fire safety concerns, according to the news release.
The event will take place rain or shine.
