WHEATON, IL — Wheaton police are investigating a car burglary, a retail theft incident and several identity theft reports, according to the city's crime blotter for late July and early August.

Car Burglarized in 1400 Block of Stonebridge Circle

Someone got into a car that had been left unlocked in the 1400 block of Stonebridge Circle and stole items, police say. The incident happened sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 2 and 9:15 a.m. on Aug. 3.

Retail Theft at Ulta on Danada Square

Police say two women came into the Ulta store at 112 Danada Square West around 6 p.m. on Aug. 3. The women put items in their purses and exited without paying, according to the crime blotter.

Five Identity Theft Incidents Reported

Five separate identity theft incidents were reported throughout the city on the most recent blotter. The incidents included scammers stealing victims' information to open phone accounts, buy tickets via Facebook and open ComEd accounts.
