Armed Robber Targets 2 Men Near Yorkville Park
A thief hiding his face with a red bandanna robbed two men near the Fox River on Sunday morning.

Yorkville police responded Sunday morning to an armed robbery in a local park where a thief targeted two men.
The incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 200 block of East Hydraulic Avenue in Bicentennial Riverfront Park. A local safety alert sent Monday indicated that the two male victims had, "their items taken by a man with a weapon." A follow-up call to police seeking additional details about the weapon and circumstances of the robbery was not immediately returned early Monday.
Victims described the suspect as a 6-foot tall black man who weighs around 190 pounds. His face was covered with a red bandanna and he was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.
