Feds' Call for Better Lettering, Reflectivity Leads Yorkville to Sell Unusable Street Signs
Does a local Yorkville thoroughfare share your name? You might be able to buy the sign.

Nostalgic residents wanting an authentic Yorkville street sign are in luck.
Changes in federal requirements for signage has left Yorkville with a heap of unusable markers. As a result, the city is putting the signs up for sale on Aug. 22 for just $10 each.
"The city is selling a number of street signs that no longer comply with federal requirements which mandate larger lettering and increased night time reflectivity," officials said, in a local alert. "A number of these signs are brand new."
