Morris Man ID'd As Victim In Kendall Industrial Incident: Coroner

Timothy Harms, 43, was found dead at the IDOT facility in Kendall Township after police said he was pinned between two pieces of equipment.

KENDALL COUNTY, IL — A 43-year-old Morris man has been identified as the person who was killed on Tuesday in an industrial accident at the Illinois Department of Transportation facility in Kendall County.

The Kendall County Coroner’s Office announced on Tuesday that Timothy F. Harms was the person who died in the accident, which took place just after 10:30 a.m. at the IDOT facility at 8175 Route 47 in unincorporated Kendall Township.

Harms’ cause of death is still pending after police said he became pinned between two pieces of large equipment at the IDOT facility. An autopsy is scheduled to be performed on Thursday, officials said.

The coroner’s office said that they were called at 11 a.m. on Tuesday after Harms, an IDOT employee at the site, was found unresponsive following the incident. The Kendall County Sheriff’s Office said on Tuesday that foul play is not suspected and that the incident remains under investigation.

Harms was found dead at the scene, police said.
