A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Police said they are continuing to investigate a motorcycle theft from the Kingsville area. Between 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 and 3 a.m. on Feb. 11, in the 12000 block of Old Long Calm Road, an attached garage was broken into and a motorcycle, a helmet and a heated suit were stolen, a police report shows.  The motorcycle was described as a 2011 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic in maroon and black, with the Maryland tag D71316, valued at more than $22,000, according to the report.  Anyone who sees the motorcycle should call 911 immediately. Lt. Ron Brooks of the White Marsh police precinct also urged residents to immediately report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhoods.
