The suspects of a Middle River fatal shooting were just found guilty of murder, prosecutors said. The victim was shot eight times.
MIDDLE RIVER, MD — Two suspects were found guilty Tuesday of fatally shooting 42-year-old Tyran Caulk just over two years ago in Middle River, prosecutors said.
Baltimore County State's Attorney Scott Shellenberger said Deandre Antoine Wright, 21, of Rosedale and Demetris Tyron Hollis, 20, of Middle River were each convicted of:
- First-degree murder.
- Use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence.
- Armed robbery.
Both men had pleaded not guilty to those counts.

Wright and Hollis each face a maximum possible sentence of life without the possibility of parole plus 40 years. Sentencing is scheduled for May 23.
A press release said the shooting happened on Nov. 12, 2022, in the 9900 block of Berliner Place.

Caulk died from the eight gunshot wounds to his head, chest, arm and thighs, the prosecution said.
Shellenberger said Wright and Hollis arranged to meet Caulk at the location where he was shot and killed. Wright and Hollis were 18 and 19 at the time.
Police found multiple shell casings at the scene from three different ghost guns that were recovered during the investigation, the release said. Ghost guns are illegal firearms that don't have trackable serial numbers.
Prosecutors said they developed evidence through video, eyewitness accounts and cell phone tracking.
"The proliferation of guns in the hands of young people in our community is a matter which must be strongly addressed. We can see, here, the tragic results of this problem," Shellenberger said in the Tuesday release. "I am thankful for the result of the case and hopeful that this sends a strong message to those who may think of picking up or using a gun."
Judge Jan Alexander presided over the trial. Assistant State's Attorneys Dylan Gerry and Stacy Amparo prosecuted the case.
