PHOTOS: White Marsh Boscov's Grand Opening

Actress Shirley Jones cut the ribbon on the revamped Boscov's.

Boscov's wrapped up a weekend of festivities with donations and a ribbon-cutting to mark the re-opening of their store in White Marsh Mall.

The 200,000-square-foot department store opened to great fanfare, too, with the help of Perry Hall High School's marching band on Sunday morning.

There were actually two ribbon-cuttings on Sunday: the official one—led by actress Shirley Jones—and another ribbon with $100 bills affixed to it that represented $1,000 in donations by Boscov's to the United Way of Central Maryland. Baltimore-area United Way affiliates did those honors. A nonprofit gala held at the store on Friday was expected to raise $25,000 for area organizations.

The new store employs 330—some of whom, chairman Albert Boscov said, worked at the original store in White Marsh Mall, which closed in 2008.

Several other performers, including a jazz soloist, were scheduled for the rest of Sunday. Jones (of "The Partridge Family" fame) is slated to perform in the store's auditorium twice each day through next Saturday.
