A Family Affair Children's Center

We have a full preschool program serving children ages two through five years old. We use creative curriculum which is a theme based, teacher created curriculum. We have a music teacher who comes once a week and we take several field trips a year. Our 2’s and 3’s Program In our 2’s and 3’s room we focus on helping children master self-care tasks such as toilet-training and using cups and forks as well as building social skills. We also lay the foundation for future academic learning with the basics such as the alphabet, colors, and basic math skills such as patterns and counting. Our 4’s and 5’s Program Our 4’s and 5’s program focuses on Kindergarten readiness. We cover all developmental areas including literacy, math concepts, science, social skills, music, and art all couched within a fun and interactive theme such as “Animals” or “The Beach.” Learning activities related to each of those topics are done throughout the week. Before and After School Care We provide before and after school care for children who attend Pine Grove or Harford Hills Elementary. We are open when schools are closed. We do a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as: ○ Table games ○ Crafts ○ Legos ○ Outdoor play We also offer homework help, a morning and afternoon snack. Children are picked up and dropped off from the center by the BCPS bus system. Summer Camp We offer a school age summer camp for Kindergarten—5th graders. Two <a href="https://perryhall.patch.com/topics/perry-hall-kingsville-and-white-marsh-home-burglaries" rel="nofollow">Perry Hall home burglaries</a> were reported over the weekend and police say the investigations are ongoing. Between Feb. 6 and Feb. 9, in the 9500 block of Holiday Manor Road, 10 feet of copper piping was stolen from the basement water heater of a vacant home. There were no signs of forced entry into the home, according to Officer Mark Dorsey of the Parkville police precinct. Between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Feb. 9, in the 9000 block of Hines Road, a person entered a home's unlocked rear door and stole a computer, an Xbox and other small items, Dorsey said. Dorsey urged area residents to report any suspicious people or vehicles in their neighborhoods by calling 911 immediately.
