Towson Loop Years in the Making

Our office first created a task force to study the creation of a circulator in 2014.

I applaud the start of the Towson Loop, a circulator for which we have has worked for the past decade to launch.

Towson is a densely-populated area where we cannot build any more roads. That’s why we have worked over the past decade to create a circulator to improve mobility, connecting our neighborhoods, businesses, and institutions of higher learning.

I began talking about the need for a circulator during the 2010 campaign. In 2014, our office established a committee with the Greater Towson Committee that issued recommendations on the viability of a circulator. The Hogan administration subsequently funded a study. Plans for a circulator accelerated after the 2018 election with the new county administration.

I thank all those who have advanced this vision and made the circulator a reality, including our federal, state, and local partners.
