Arlington Sets April Date For Preliminary High School Work

Deemed an "essential" project during the coronavirus crisis, work at the AHS building site is slated to begin this month.

ARLINGTON, MA — Site work required to prepare for construction of the new Arlington High School is slated for the week of April 20, with a project end date of April 2025. Residents can expect to see fencing on the front green of the site, as well as around the Peirce practice field.

Hours will be Monday through Friday and follow current regulations surrounding construction projects. Overtime and Saturday work may be added as the schedule develops.

In an update last month, the Arlington High School Building Committee said the coronavirus crisis has not yet impacted the project. Under Gov. Charlie Baker's order, construction work deemed "essential" can continue.
