Customers No Longer Allowed Inside Arlington Restaurants

ARLINGTON, MA — Arlington is taking restrictions on restaurants and bars a step further, prohibiting customers from entering the building when they pick up food. Restaurants are required to provide curbside pickup or delivery starting Tuesday. Health officials also encourage residents to pay with a credit card online or over the phone to limit person-to-person interactions.
On Monday, Gov. Charlie Baker issued an emergency order requiring all non-essential businesses to close until at least April 7. Food establishments are included in the list of essential services during the stay-at-home advisory.

Playgrounds are still closed. Thorndike Dog Park and tennis courts will be locked, and basketball hoops will be blocked in an effort to stop groups from congregating.
