Winning $100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Medford

The ticket was one of six winning the top prize in the Mass Cash game last Thursday.

MEDFORD, MA — A Medford lottery player has reason to celebrate entering the new year after winning a $100,000 prize last Thursday night.

The Massachusetts State Lottery on Friday announced a batch of six tickets that each won $100,000 in the Mass Cash game the previous evening.

A $100,000 ticket sold at the Wegmans location on Mystic Valley Parkway in Medford won alongside three $100,000 tickets from Ray’s Tobacco in Boston and two tickets from a Cumberland Farms location in Wilmington.

Mass Cash costs $1-per-ticket, asking players to select five numbers between one and 35. Drawings run daily. Players who select all five numbers correctly win the $100,000 top prize.

The recent winning Medford Mass Cash ticket was one of at least two lottery tickets with prizes of $1,000 or more sold in Medford last Thursday, with lottery records showing a $1,000 winner in the 500 GRAND game sold at Sav-Mor Liquors.

The six total $100,000 Mass Cash winning tickets were tied as the biggest wins across the statewide Massachusetts Lottery system on Thursday, with another $100,000 win reported in the $15,000,000 MONEY MAKER game on a ticket sold in Raynham.
