• Massachusetts man accused of threatening to kill co-workers, busted with lots of drugs (bostonherald.com) — Malden workers were allegedly threatened when a West Bridgewater man reportedly brought a gun to his workplace and said he would kill staff. Police later arrested him in Winthrop, where they report finding a loaded handgun and significant quantities of cocaine, fentanyl, and other drugs in his car, leading to multiple serious charges and his detention pending a dangerousness hearing.
   

• Leete to helm St. John's Prep (peabodyweeklynews.com) — A new volleyball coaching hire with roots in Malden is taking over the boys varsity program at St. John’s Prep in Danvers. Pamela Benzan Leete, a Malden native and experienced high school and college coach, will lead the Eagles after years of tournament success at Essex Tech and work at Tufts clinics, aiming to build on the team’s recent state-playoff run.
