MALDEN, MA — Malden residents needing to get rid of their 2022 Christmas trees have options to do so this month through city Christmas tree collection services.

Malden will run curbside pickup of natural (real) Christmas trees from Jan. 9 through Jan. 13.

Residents must place their trees curbside for pickup on their regular waste collection day. Trees must be free of decorations, garland, tinsel and wire. Trees also cannot be placed in a plastic bag, as they will be put into a chipping machine, officials said in an announcement last week.
