Malden Police Thwart Armed Robbery Attempt

MALDEN, MA — The police department made multiple arrests and recovered a stolen firearm in the aftermath of an armed robbery attempt earlier this week.

Officers responded to reports on the corner of Eastern Avenue and Franklin Street on the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 10. After a brief on-foot chase, police arrested a man, 19, and a juvenile. The loaded weapon that was later determined to be stolen was also soon recovered.

Malden police gave credit to the Boston Police Department as well as the Massachusetts State Police for their assistance with the situation.
