Malden School Sets Guinness World Record: Report

The Salemwood School organized more than 1,000 of its community members to make history.

MALDEN, MA — Students and staff at Salemwood School worked together to set a Guinness World Record, according to a report from 7 News Boston.

The kindergarten through eighth-grade school on 529 Salem St. is now the record holder for the largest organized Polka dance, with 1,024 participants. The previous record was 802 set Crailsheim, Germany.

This event was organised to engage the local community and celebrate the life of the school's former educational leader Dr. Jonathan Ponds.
