• Girl rescued after falling through the ice in Malden (nbcboston.com) — A young girl was pulled from frigid water at Fellsmere Pond in Malden on Wednesday afternoon after falling through thin ice, with firefighters breaking through the ice to reach her. She was conscious when rescued and taken to the hospital, and Malden fire officials are urging residents to stay off all ice-covered ponds for their own safety.
