• National Braille Press raises $400K at its ‘A Million Laughs for Literacy' gala (massnonprofit.org) — A Malden 11-year-old, David Ducasse, helped inspire guests at National Braille Press’s big Fenway Park fundraiser by reading a children’s biography of Louis Braille in braille on stage. The Boston gala marked 20 years of the “A Million Laughs for Literacy” event, raising over $400,000 to support braille books and materials for blind and low-vision readers.
