MARLBOROUGH, MA—The city celebrated the grand opening on Monday of Friendly's newest location, the first new ground-up location in 13 years.

The Marlborough community welcomed the new restaurant to the neighborhood, many ordering food and ice cream. Friendly's also gave away to the first 50 in line a year's worth of Fribbles. Town officials, Chamber of Commerce officials and Boys and Girls Club representatives were all in attendance to help Friendly’s celebrate the opening by doing a ceremonial first scoop of ice cream.
