When Is The Winter Parking Ban In Effect In Marlborough?

Yup, we've got to start talking about it. The winter parking ban in the city.

MARLBOROUGH, MA—Avoid getting a ticket and annoying the plow drivers.

The city's overnight parking ban goes into effect on Dec. 1 and continues through March 15. During that period, on-street parking is prohibited from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night. Vehicles violating the ban are subject to issuance of a parking ticket. Additionally, vehicles that interfere with snow or ice removal operations are subject to towing and storage at the owner's expense, according to an announcement from city officials.

Here are the overnight parking ban exceptions:

1. High Street;
2. Brown Street;
3. Brook Street;
4. Emmett Street (from South Street westerly to dead end).
5. Ringold Street

And here are the conditions by which the exceptions apply:

1. When a snow or ice storm has been predicted;
2. When a snow or ice storm is actually occurring;
3. During post-storm plowing or clearing operations by the DPW.
