April 4 – 6: Kitty Connection’s Spring Mini Online Auction April Show

MEDFORD –March 28, 2025 – Spring is finally here! Get ready for upcoming holidays and warm weather fun with items from Kitty Connection’s online Auction Friday, April 4, through Sunday, April 6. With the theme of “April Showers Bring May Meowers”, the auction will raise funds to support the care of homeless cats and dogs, including pre-adoption veterinary procedures. Kitty Connection is an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to finding loving homes for local pets. “Kitty Connection is an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to finding permanent, loving homes for hundreds of abandoned and surrendered pets each year,” Kitty Connection President Marie Mazzeo said. “Proceeds from our online auctions enable us to finance medical procedures, as well as the day-to-day expenses of caring for pets and connecting them with their forever homes.”

Kitty Connection’s “April Showers Bring May Meowers” online auction will feature a variety of gifts and everyday necessities for people and their pets. Premium items include a $100 cat grooming certificate for Jeana’s Dirty Dog Salon in Cambridge, a $200 gift certificate for Breakout Games in Woburn, a $100 gift card for Tres Gatos restaurant in Jamaica Plain, and two passes to the New England Aquarium.

Bidding will open at 5 p.m. on Friday, April 4, and continue through 8 p.m. on Sunday, April 6. Bidding guidelines and other information are available at: https://www.myminiauction.com/kittyconnection Winning bidders will be notified after the auction closes.

Kitty Connection annually rescues more than 450 homeless animals, has a low-cost spay and neuter program and funds over 375 spay and neuter procedures for pet owners in need each year (email: lowcost@kittyconnection.net). Volunteers provide foster homes for cats and kittens until they are adopted, and Kitty Connection ensures that they are spayed/neutered, tested for common illnesses, and vaccinated before they go to their new homes. Kitty Connection also provides community education and outreach about the importance of responsible pet ownership.
