Fire Breaks Out In Medford School Bathroom
One student was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
MEDFORD, MA — One student was taken to the hospital after a fire at Andrews Middle School Tuesday morning.
According to Medford Public Schools, a small fire broke out in the first-floor girls’ restroom. The Medford Fire Department had it extinguished before 11:30 a.m. with all students and staff safely evacuated. Students whose lockers were located near the fire were unable to access their belongings as they were too close to the scene of the blaze.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
