Green Line Closure: Multiple Stations To Be Affected
The MBTA announced Thursday that a portion of the Green Line route will be shut down for two weeks.

MEDFORD, MA — The MBTA announced that Green Line service will be suspended from the Medford/Tufts to Park Street stations from Friday, Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 20.
The Authority cited necessary track repairs as the reason for the shutdown. Shuttle bus services will be available between Medford/Tufts and North Station however there will be no shuttle availability from North Station to Park Street. The MBTA suggests using bus routes 86 and 91 for those who need to commute between the two locations. In addition, the orange line will be fully operational from North Station to Downtown Crossing.
Shuttle bus service from the Lechmere Station into Union Square will also be unavailable during the closure window. Bus routes 85, 87, and 91 are recommended as alternate routes.
