Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

Kaileigh is a very hard working and dedicated young lady. She is a super star athlete in both basketball and softball. She is a hard worker, team player and role model. She is the first one at practice and last to leave. Kaileigh takes school very serious and continues to make honor roll each term and with hard work and dedication she continues to excel in school. Her goal that she set for herself her freshman year is to make honor roll and be inducted into the national junior honor Society, which she has accomplished. playing two sports and her school studies hasn’t been easy, but she will do whatever it takes, whether she has to stay after to get extra help, do extra cred. Kaileigh is not afraid of hard work, and on top of all this she also holds down a part-time job. She works at after school program with younger kids, and occasional babysitting jobs that goes through her high school’s babysitting list. She even got her CPR certification all on her own time and dime. She plans to go to college for early childhood education, specifically early intervention and working with kids with disabilities and honor of her younger brother Joey, who has autism spectrum disorder, no one that loves that boy more than his big sister. She is his biggest fan, fierce protector, He has her heart. She truly is his favorite person, because of her Joey has made leaps and bounds and conquered so many of his goals that his parents and the school has set for him , she is such a big part of the tremendous growth he has showed. Kaileigh is a fierce autism advocate, and doesn’t shy away from answering any questions. She said to me before most people are just uneducated and they just don’t know much about autism. I will gladly educate them with everything I know and I've learned, my brother has taught me so much. Autism is just a part of Joey; he is not autism. She hopes to eliminate ignorance when it comes to people and interacting and dealing with kids special special needs, her brother is very lucky to have the best big sister anyone could ask for! Kaileigh is somebody that is going to do big things with her life. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us! Kaileigh is not just a star student but she’s just a STAR, she deserves this!
