Kitty Connection Plans a Weekend of Fundraisers for Local Pets in Need

Opportunities to support the rescue include online auction June 20–22 and sales of cat-themed hats and T-shirts at 6/21 Circle the Square

Get ready for summer fun with items from Kitty Connection’s online Auction Friday, June 20, through Sunday, June 22. The “Then and Meow” themed auction will raise funds to support the care of homeless cats and dogs, including pre-adoption veterinary procedures.

Kitty Connection, an all-volunteer non-profit dedicated to finding loving homes for local pets, will also host a table at Medford’s Circle the Square event from 3 – 7 p.m., Saturday, June 21.

Proceeds from the online auction and the sale of cat-themed T-shirts and hats at Circle the Square support the care of homeless cats and dogs, including the cost of pre-adoption veterinary procedures. Visit https://www.myminiauction.com/kittyconnection for more information.

“With the cost of everything from medical procedures to pet food and litter going up, fundraisers like the ones this coming weekend are life savers – literally – for the animals under our care,” Kitty Connection President Marie Mazzeo said. “Please considering going online to bid and/or coming to Circle the Square to help us help pets in need!”

Online auction bidding will open at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 20, and continue until 8 p.m. on Sunday, June 22. Bidding guidelines and other information are available at: https://www.myminiauction.com/kittyconnection Winning bidders will be notified after the auction closes.

Kitty Connection annually rescues more than 450 homeless animals, has a low-cost spay and neuter program and funds over 375 spay and neuter procedures for pet owners in need each year (email: lowcost@kittyconnection.net). Volunteers provide foster homes for cats and kittens until they are adopted, and Kitty Connection ensures that they are spayed/neutered, tested for common illnesses, and vaccinated before they go to their new homes. Kitty Connection also provides community education and outreach about the importance of responsible pet ownership.
