Major Medford Road Temporarily Closing For Fall Event

MEDFORD, MA — A significant road near Medford Square will be closed for a period of time on Saturday, Oct. 4, according to the police department.

Riverside Avenue will be shut down from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. due to the city’s Oktoberfest event. The street will be closed to vehicular traffic from Main Street to East Transit Way. The free event includes food, live music, and other refreshments. The event is also family-friendly with offerings such as face painting, crafts, and other activities from Medford Recreation. Participating food vendors include Colleen’s Ice Cream and Sandwich Shoppe, Modern Pastry, Goldilox Bagels, Dean’s Concessions, The Traveling Acoffeecary, and Ford Tavern.

The five-hour festivity begins at 12 p.m.
