Medford Driver Accused of Striking Bicyclist, Fleeing Scene

Police allege a Medford man is responsible for striking a bicyclist in Cambridge and then fleeing the crash scene.

Police did not release the man’s name, but they did charge him with assault and battery with a dangers weapon, causing seriously bodily injury, according to the Boston Globe.

The man was driving along Cambridge’s Webster Avenue back in September when he hit the 35-year-old bicyclist. According to police, the victim underwent surgery for the treatment of an arm injury.
