Medford Nonprofits Get More Than $230K From City

The city's Community Fund Committee recently awarded funding to 25 local nonprofits.

MEDFORD, MA — Twenty-five nonprofits working in Medford are set to receive over $230,000 in grant funding via the city’s Community Fund, Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn announced last Friday.

Incoming money aims to help nonprofits expand services, resources and outreach, according to Lungo-Koehn.

Lungo-Koehn called the work done by grant recipients "critical" in efforts to support residents.

“By providing this funding the awardees will be able to make adjustments and improvements to their operations that will lead to more meaningful and engaging experiences for the community,” Lungo-Koehn continued in her announcement.

Lungo-Koehn thanked volunteer members of the Community Fund Committee, which reviewed grant applications and helped assess where to send funding.
