Medford School Budget Passes
The Medford School Committee passed the school budget by a 5-2 vote
MEDFORD, MA - Next year's school budget was approved Monday night at the School Committee meeting by a 5-2 vote.
Last evening, the Medford School Committee passed the $54,333,000 school budget by a 5-2 vote, according to a release. In a statement Superintendent Roy Belson said, "The FY 2017 budget provides for many of the priorities identified by our professionals and the School Committee, and is consistent with our overall educational and operational needs."

Last Wednesday, some additional requests and concerns were brought forth during the budget hearing and those additional requests were met, a release said. Among the additions were an elementary math coach, three additional full-time kindergarten aides, a behavior specialist, and a middle school librarian, a release said.
