Medford Takes Important Step Toward New High School
The State Building Authority moved the city into the next phase of development.

MEDFORD, MA — The Massachusetts State Building Authority announced that it voted unanimously in favor of entering the city into the feasibility phase of developing a new high school. A study will now be conducted by the MSBA and the city to explore the possibility of a brand new facility.
The MSBA credited Medford for its organized description of educational priorities during the previous eligibility phase.
According to Mayor Breanna Lungo-Koehn, the city has an agreement with the MSBA for a 16% increase in student capacity as well as a reimbursement rate of 52.31% of the project’s expenses. Interim Superintendent of Schools Dr. Suzanne B. Galusi expressed gratitude to the MSBA for progressing Medford forward.
