New Brooks Principal Named in Medford

Suzanne Galusi replaces Kevin Andrews who has taken a position with the Nahant Public Schools.

MEDFORD, MA - Suzanne Galusi attended the Brooks as a student and now she will be the next Principal of the Brooks Elementary School. The appointment was announced at Monday's School Committee meeting.

Galusi replaces Kevin Andrews who has taken a position with the Nahant Public Schools.

Pursuant to the appointment, Superintendent Roy Belson met with the Brooks faculty and staff, and the leadership of the Brooks parents groups, as well as, consulted with the School Committee at their last meeting, a release from the schools said.

Galusi is fully licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts' Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to be an Elementary Principal. She has a BA from Framingham State and a degree from Lesley University. Galusi has fourteen years experience as an elementary school teacher and four successful years as the Assistant Principal of the Brooks School, a release said. Her appointment becomes effective July 1, 2016.

During the upcoming administrator's week, Galusi will meet with the Superintendent and the Central Office Team to begin the process of identifying an Assistant Principal.
