Obituary: Mark Spector, Longtime Medford Business Owner

Mark Spector, of Medford’s Hillside Hardware, passed away on November 28, 2015.

Beloved husband of Carol (Grossman) Spector. Devoted father of Neil Spector, and Scott Spector and his wife Andrea. Loving grandfather of Jordan, Aaron and Susannah Spector. Dear brother of Brenda Cheifetz and her husband Michael, and Myrna Lief and her husband Mark.

Spector, originally from Burlington, served as a staple in the Medford community since the 70’s. His father Mike was the previous owner of the store at 325 Boston Ave., which opened in 1939.

Services at Temple Shalom Emeth, 16 Lexington St., Burlington, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at 11:00am. Following interment at B’nai Brith Cemetery, Peabody, memorial observance will be at his residence until 9:00 pm and will continue on Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-9 pm. In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
