Softball Tournament Honoring Boston Marathon Victim Returns To Medford
The Krystle Campbell Memorial Softball Tournament was held at Columbus Memorial Park on Saturday and Sunday for the first time since 2019.
MEDFORD, MA — A softball tournament honoring the memory of a Boston Marathon bombing victim returned to Medford over the weekend, reported WCVB.
The Krystle Campbell Memorial Softball Tournament, hosted by Medford High School, was held at Columbus Memorial Park on Saturday and Sunday for the first time since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Participating softball teams included Medford High, Arlington Catholic, Billerica High, and Swampscott High.

Campbell was one of three people who were killed in the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013. She was a 2001 graduate of Medford High School and played on the Mustangs' softball team.
A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit the Krystle Campbell Scholarship Fund.
