Tufts Reports Offensive Graffiti On Medford, Boston Campuses
The Tufts University Police Department is investigating the incidents.

MEDFORD, MA — Tufts University administration said Wednesday that offensive graffiti has been found on the school’s Meford/Somerville and Boston campuses, reported The Tufts Daily.
Dean of Student Affairs Camille LizarrĂbar sent an email to the Tufts community this week, disclosing that “derogatory and crude” graffiti was found at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts campus in Fenway.
LizarrĂbar said hate symbols and vulgar imagery were also found on the Medford/Somerville campus in the Joyce Cummings Center and the School of Engineering.

According to the email, the Tufts University Police Department is investigating the incidents. Once those who are responsible are found, they will be referred to the Office of Equal Opportunity and the Office of Community Standards.
LizarrĂbar said this behavior contradicts the “values and expectations” of the Tufts community and “creates an unwelcoming environment and disrespects every member of our community.”

The offensive graffiti comes nearly two weeks after a Tufts University club sports team was suspended over an antisemitic incident.
